Hot off the press is this track from BC-based artist, Self Evident. Surprising us with an unusual delivery; this lyrical dancefloor rocker is sure to make some hotpants sweat. The original version was done by renowned R&B artist, Ginuwine, and the romantic declaration of love done by the singer back in 2001, is now revisited by Self Evident, who boosts it up by adding dynamic rhythmic arrangements and poignant synth sounds to the song’s original unique vocals.
Self Evident, as part of Lighta! Sound (a Vancouver rooted Music collective), is helping the underground stay fresh and unique by making what he calls “Intense dance music for dancers and heads”. His genre would be hard to define, somewhere between bass music and create your own, however you want to call it, no matter what it is, it is great dancefloor music. Joining the array of musicians who are pushing the boundary, bringing back the Soul to electronic music by giving vocals centre stage once again, this tune adds momentum to this global phenomena.
I would highly recommend keeping an eye out for his future moves, this talent is sure to bring more skilled and high quality sounds to the table.
