Fresh-faced producers pop out of the woodwork daily, most of which are nothing more than cheap knock offs of those they look up to – the ones that came before them. Some, however, pave their own paths, using their influences as inspiration rather than imitation. Fabio Lendrum is one of the latter.
The 21 year old singer/songwriter/producer/DJ’s resume includes a longstanding residency at one of London’s most legendary clubs, KOKO, as well as co-producer and co-writer credits on Example’s “Won’t Go Quietly”, a record deal with mega label, Warner Bros Records, and a management contract with JHO Management (home to Chase & Status, Pendulum, Sub Focus, and Knife Party).
Using an emulator to manipulate the music while singing live, Lendrum’s performances set him apart from the herd. His style of feel-good dance music is strong enough to blow up the club without sacrificing emotion for the sake of a “sick drop”. Combining his ability to produce catchy hooks that have a story behind them with an engaging live performance, Fabio Lendrum may have found the formula to success in today’s competitive and saturated world of EDM.
Fabio Lendrum is set to release his debut EP ‘Alpha’ on Big Beat/Warner Bros on August 27th but in the meantime you can grab his two tracks “Out the Water” and “Anything’s Possible” for free below.
