Yesterday, Celebrity Net Worth published a list of the 30 richest DJs in the world. Sitting comfortably at the top with $65M is Tiesto, followed by Paul Oakenfold with $55M, and Paul van Dyk at #3 with $50M. As the list goes on, the numbers start to look a little off. Carl Cox at #16 with $15M? Deadmau5 with $12M? Swedish House Mafia with $4M each? Skrillex at #21 with “only” $8M when he’s sitting at #92 on Forbes’ “100 Most Powerful Celebs” with $15M, the same list that also happened to have another familiar face, Tiesto at #84 with $23M.


Celebrity Net Worth didn’t mention where they got the information so the list should probably be taken with a grain of salt. Either way, some of these DJs can be worth as much as Barrie Stone* and all that’ll mean is that they’ll be just as talented with less money in the bank.
This list comforts me because I know that the thousands of dollars I (and countless others) have spent on parties and festivals have contributed to the heartwarming thought that Tiesto will probably be taking a bath in beluga caviar tonight.
