Above & Beyond have been on a road of their own for years. Along the way and around the world, they’ve amassed a perpetual stream of people who follow them down that path every single day. 2012 was by far the biggest year for the guys, they released their Group Therapy album, which was named “artist album of the year” by MixMag, they toured incessantly, celebrated their 400th episode of Trance Around the World, and made moments memorable for anyone who got to witness them in action. Paavo, Jono and Tony wanted to say thanks to the fans so they decided to put together a video documenting some of their most memorable moments this past year and share a brand new instrumental piece they composed called “Small Moments Like These”. I remember when the guys typed out “Life is made of small moments like these” on the screen to thousands of people who showed up for Group Therapy Miami, and in the middle of downtown Miami, amidst the thousands of people yelling, crying, singing, and dancing, there was a collective calm. No gimmicks, overbearing stage productions, nonsensical collaborations, and cheesy tag lines, just three guys who share the power of creation and connect with their fans through their music. THAT is artistry in its purist form and Above & Beyond are the real rockstars of today.
