Dublin based DJ collective MadHouse recently got very generous with us and shared a pack of five mashups. MadHouse’s very own Aarii and Zalem Hest went to town on the first volume of a series of upcoming mashups and bootlegs by combining Axwell with Bassjackers and Apster on “Goldcoast Mush Mush Together” and Michael Brun with Martin Solveig and Swanky Tunes on my personal favorite “Night Rise Feedback” as well as three more bad bad mixes (bad=very good…because it’s cool?!).
Mashups are very hit-or-miss. Some people try so hard to make different tracks sound good together that what they ultimately come up with is a complete shitpiece. Such is not the case with MadHouse Mashes Vol. 1, all five pieces were done extremely well – so well, you’d think these are the original versions of the tracks. Give it a twirl below.
