It’s been an explosive year for Anjunabeats, making the release of this year’s ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide’ feel like a party, except it’s a really cool party where everyone’s hands are always in the air, they’re crying out of happiness, and people are wearing Star-Trek headgear not to fit in, but because they’re actually on another planet.
That’s because Anjunabeats Worldwide is a showcase for EDM’s rising stars, and with the likes of Mat Zo, Super 8 and Tab, and the compilation’s mixers, Maor Levi and Nitrous Oxide, on that list, Anjunabeats just may be home to the best young talent in EDM today. As a pump up for the release next week, they’ve just released mini mixes from Maor and Nitrous Oxide, and they’re both insanely sick. They feature some of the year’s less-obvious choices for best track mashed up, remixed, and condensed into two sick little 15 minute sets. Levi tells a story so crazy I can’t get into it here, and Nitrous Oxide’s transitions are enough to make your heart stop a little bit, and then start pumping harder than ever.
