I had the pleasure of doing an artist spotlight on Justin Michael a few weeks back and quickly fell head over heels. Then over x-mas I received an email to review his latest collaboration with Kemal – a remix of Phonic Funk and The Bleachworks with vocals by the very talented Christian Burns’ “Save This City”. A free x-mas present from my new favorite artist and super secret DJ crush? Yes please! The best part is he released an awesome song and not some promotional shizz.
In my humble opinion, Justin Michael just gets it. His music reminds me of the reason I fell in love with electronica in the first place. His home in an undeniable trance melody that sweeps you up, and this time we save an entire city with him. The song is simply great and at the price of free you’d be a fool not to download it.
